The Stage Never Stops

I am honored to share a few thoughts with you—ideas that apply not only to magic, but to life itself.

Let me borrow a statement from the past: “Next time, the revolution will be televised.” Well, we’re living in that time now. With mobile phones in every hand, everyone has become a Director of Photography, constantly hunting for that perfect shot. The spotlight is always on.

I often say, “The stage never stops, we just stop performing.” The truth behind this is simple—someone is always watching. Whether onstage or off, we represent our personal brand. Carry yourself with character, integrity, and professionalism at all times.

In magic, there’s a common moment after a great performance where someone from the audience approaches and says, “Do one more trick!” Often, the instinct is to respond, “Hold on, I have to set up.” But remember, your audience doesn’t know or care about “set-up.” To them, we are magical beings capable of miracles at any moment.

That’s why I urge every performer to carry a few pocket miracles at all times. Be ready to astonish. Never let them see a gap between the performance and the performer. You don’t want to appear as someone pretending to be magical, you are magical.

Onstage or walking down the street, always be prepared to shine.
